What you are buying
Ten sessions of unauthorised absence in a rolling ten-week window is the national threshold, and working it out by hand across a whole school is nobody's idea of a Tuesday. It is counted for every pupil at every import, with the exact ten weeks shown so the figure can be defended when it is challenged.
What's included
- Every member of staff, signed in with the Microsoft or Google accounts they already have. No new passwords, and no charge per user.
- Setup and training, included rather than a separate fee.
- DfE attendance, persistent absence and severe absence, computed on session counts so the figures are safe to quote at inspection.
- Below-target monitoring, lateness, illness, day-of-week patterns and the ten-in-ten penalty notice threshold tracked for every pupil.
- Reports for governors, for inspection, for your education welfare officer, for tutors, and a one-page report to give a family.
- Role-based access: senior leaders see every pupil, teachers only their own classes, governors the figures with no pupil named.
- Unlimited imports, and every year kept and browsable once you roll over.
- Support by telephone and email from the people who built it, on the helpdesk number in the footer of every page.
The questions people ask
Is there a free trial?
Yes. We set your school up and you import your own data, so what you are looking at is your own school rather than a demonstration. Nothing is charged until you say so.
What about a multi-academy trust?
One price for the whole trust, discounted by number of schools, with a trust-wide view across all of them. Ask us for a figure.
How do we pay?
By invoice, raised after your trial finishes and you have decided to go ahead. We will quote a purchase order number if your school uses them. There is no card to enter and nothing is taken automatically.
What if our roll changes?
Nothing happens mid-year. The band is set from your roll at the start of your year, so growing past a step in February does not produce an invoice in February.
What do we have to do to get started?
Produce three exports out of your MIS. We walk you through it, and setup and training are in the price.
Who owns the data?
Your school. Your school is the data controller and iCT4 Limited is your processor, acting only on your instructions, and the data is held in the United Kingdom. The privacy page has the detail your data protection officer will want, before you sign up rather than after.
How does it renew, and what if we stop?
A year at a time, automatically, so nobody re-signs every summer. Either side can end it with three months' written notice before the renewal date. When it ends, your pupil records are erased after the retention period agreed with your school, which is 90 days by default.
See it with your own attendance data
